Type: Access violation error

A few users have reported an "Access violation error". It seems that this error occurs in a stochastic way when the zoom tool is used perhaps around 100 times in combination with a selected object (such as a marked material box) in the pre-processor. This happened for relatively complex case involving thin steel in insulation.

Short-term solution

The error triggers when the mouse pointer is inside the pre-processor. After closing the error message dialogue box, try to move the mouse away from the pre-processor window. Then it should be OK to save the input (preferably as a new name), close HEAT3 and reopen the problem and continue.

Fix available May 8, 2003!

The above error has been fixed.

Please download version 4.0.0.2 (May 8, 2003) from our web by using the same instructions in the email you received when you bought version 4.
