Terms

Minor updates are always included in the price (e.g. HEAT2 8 will include 8.x updates).

Major upgrades are included in the price for annual licenses (e.g. HEAT2 8 will include upgrade to future version 9).

A single user license may be installed on one PC. It should be used permanently on this PC, but can be deactivated in order to be moved to another PC (it is not possible to swap the license back and forth between different PC:s). We do not replace the software due to PC crashes, lost of PC, etc. However, there is a second installation possible for back-up purposes. The software should first be deactivated on a PC if formatting of hard disk or OS upgrading is necessary. If a license is lost due to a crashed PC, or any other reason, and the back-up license already has been activated a charge for issuing a new back-up activation is $200.

· Manuals in English are free to download in PDF-format (Adobe Acrobat). Printed manuals are not included in above prices.

· Installation files are normally sent out by email within 1-2 days upon order.

 

Software runs under Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7 operating system or compatible ones.

Support

Support is given via email. We answer normally within one day. Please note that the standard support covers features of the software and not simulation and evaluation of calculation results. However we can provide this on a consultant basis.

School licenses

A school license may be used for education and research. The school license also applies to research institutes. Upon order, please indicate in the comments field in the order form that it is a school license.

Annual licenses

The yearly licenses are renewed and billed each year until a cancellation is made before the new term begins (we will ask every year if you want to continue before we send the new invoice).

Deactivation of software

HEAT2/HEAT3 can be deactivated on a PC in the "About" box dialog (both the personal license key and the activation code that was needed to install it needs to be given in order to deactivate the program - just follow the deactivation wizard). This will give credit to install a new instance of HEAT2/HEAT3 on a new PC. HEAT2/HEAT3 will not work on the deactivated PC.

EED can be deactivated on a PC in the "Settings/About" box dialog (both the personal license key and the activation code that was needed to install it needs to be given in order to deactivate the program - just follow the deactivation wizard). This will give credit to install a new instance of EED on a new PC. EED will not work on the deactivated PC.

Upgrading from annual to perpetual license

An annual license can at anytime be upgraded to a perpetual license for the perpertual upgrade cost.

This is a good oppurtunity for a new user who wants to evaluate the software for one year.
